Dr. Hermenegildo is a Board Certified general surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 1996 and completed his surgical training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He spent a year as a research fellow at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He joined our group in 2006. Dr. Hermenegildo specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgery including hernia repair, colon/small bowel resection, solid organ and gallbladder surgery. He is licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts and is available at our Fall River office. Dr. Hermenegildo is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Massachusetts Medical Society and American Society for Bariatric Surgery. He is on the medical staff at Charlton Memorial and Saint Anne's Hospitals. He is fluent in Portuguese.
