Dr. Da Silva is a Board Certified general surgeon. She earned her medical degree at the University of Rochester in 1998 and completed her surgical training at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She spent two years as a research fellow under a National Institute of Health grant. She was in private practice in Upstate New York prior to joining Truesdale Surgical Associates in September 2008. Dr. Da Silva has special interests in minimally invasive surgery (gallbladder, gastrointestinal surgery, hernias) and breast care, including insertion of mammosite radiation balloon. She is licensed in Massachusetts and New York State and is available at our Fall River office. Dr. Da Silva is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Massachusetts Medical Society. She is on the medical staff at Charlton Memorial and Saint Anne's Hospitals. She is also Portuguese speaking.
